Biomass-based photothermal materials for interfacial solar steam generation: a review

چکیده

An efficient photothermal conversion process is essential for making high-performing solar steam generation (SSG) device water desalination and purification. Recently, biomass-based materials have attracted significant attention as useful substrates SSG. This attributed to their merits of biocompatibility, abundance, low thermal conductivity , hydrophilicity. A deeper understanding various forms structures related properties need further exploration develop effective systems. review discusses the working mechanism (BPTMs) SSG, including optical properties, capillary action, strategies mitigating salt crystallization fouling issues. The evaporation performance current progress in using BPTMs wastewater treatment applications are also discussed. will stimulate investigation research interest use from laboratory-scale large-scale outdoor SSG applications. New insights on novel ideas development elucidated this review. • Review diverse biomass-integrated materials. Factors affecting efficiencies Application illustrated. challenges future directions field elucidated.
